Grants

The Georgia Williams Trust works actively to support young people in Telford and Wrekin. Grants of up to £250 can be awarded to individuals, or to local organisations that share our desire - to provide opportunities for adventure and enjoyment!

Application is simple: just tell us who you and where you're from; what support you require and how it will be used; and most of all - why you believe this to be important to you and others. Individuals must be aged between 11-18 yrs, with both individuals and organisations being based within the borough of Telford and Wrekin.

Animal Conservation

The GWT fund-matched for a keen conservationist, who wanted to make a once in a life-time trip to Africa to perform conservation in another country - How could we say no?!

We provided funds to purchase accessories for a young girl's made-to-measure wheelchair, allowing her to participate in her school's outdoor activities and lessons!
Now that's joining in!

Wheelchair

We have funded a Life-Guarding certificate for a young lady who believes the course will boost her confidence as well as allow her to gain a part-time job throughout her education.

A young man struggling with mental health and school pressures, has found Ice Skating to be an activity to ease his mind. With wanting to give Ice Hockey a try, we have assisted in his purchase of kit and equipment.

When one young lady was forced leave home for personal reasons, her dancing tuition fees became bottom of her priority list. with our assistance, she has been able to continue despite her financial struggles.

Organisations

There are so many ways young people can get out and try new things, we make sure to support other organisations that increase ones options. We can help with uniforms, equipment, advertising - anything you need to get your club going.

Flight Simulator at Wellington

Money was given to allow cadets at Wellington ATC (1130 Sqn) to own their very own flight simulator. A perfect addition to a Squadron so close to Georgia's own heart.

Students at Ercall Wood Academy are jumping in to after-school clubs after receiving our help in the purchase of professional gym trampolines. These now allow students to access the trampolines during clubs and PE sessions!

Wrekin Riders

Wrekin Riders, a local BMX Club,   have recently received two new bikes from us - to allow those who cannot afford one of their own to have a go! We are also looking into assisting with the build of a new shelter, allowing spectators and parents to view the track in safety.

Local Schools have benefitted from funding to allow students to learn basic first aid skills. Perhaps one day, they will complete one of the goals on Georgia's 'Wish List for Life' by saving someone else's.
